H1B Visa:

H1B filing process is very time consuming and expensive process. Most of the companies spend time and money for each case without knowing whether the case will be selected for the process or not. So please do not waste your time as well the employer's time, if you do not have a solid decision of working in USA. Also if you already have the offer, do not explore more opportunities. The H1B quota is very limited.

The H-1B quota for Fiscal Year 2009 will be open once again on April 1, 2008 with the visa start date of October 1, 2008. This year it is predicted that the cap will be reached like last year in one day itself. U.S. Congress has established an annual H-1B cap of 65,000. Of that number, 6,800 are set aside under the H1B1 program under the terms of the U.S.-Chile and U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreements. So realistically there are only 58,200 visas available to all other nationals. Interested and qualified applicants must apply for their H-1B visa as soon as possible to ensure a visa is available!

Each year there is an additional 20,000 H-1B visas available to people with a Master's or higher degree from a U.S. institution. The H-1B quota for this category will also be open on April 1, 2008 with the visa start date of October 1, 2008 So people who qualify for this category are strongly urged to apply for H-1B visa as soon as possible to ensure a visa is available to them!

For those who have or will graduate from a U.S. institution, it is suggested that you apply for your H-1B visa as soon as possible even though you may be on Optional Practical Training (OPT) for one year. Many U.S. institutions have graduation dates in May or June so the OPT will start the same month as graduation. Since the validity date of the H-1B visa is October 1 of each year, there is a gap of 3-4 months between OPT end date and H-1B visa start date. Each year new graduates face this issue so why have this headache? Why not apply for the H-1B visa as soon as it is available? It is not advisable to jeopardize an existing employment or immigration status simple for a few extra months of time in the U.S.

If you feel the potential or need to file the H1B petition with us, kindly let us know your consent, by sending us your updated resume,
